The 4 Reasons Many People Fail In MLM!
As a network marketing professional I have seen many articles written about how to succeed in an MLM or network marketing business. It led me to think about what it takes to fail. There are four pieces to the MLM Success Puzzle. If any of these four pieces of this puzzle are missing the likelihood of failure goes up.
The product is the first puzzle piece. Choosing a company with the wrong product greatly increases your risk of failure in your business. If you choose to represent a company with a readily-accessible product then you will increase your chances off multi-level marketing failure. If your customers or reps can go down to the local drug store or grocery story and purchase a similar product then the product is not unique enough to boost you into success.
Choosing a company with a product that has a lot of competition is another way to fail with your product choice. If you have a lot of competition within the network marketing industry then you have put yourself into a position that you have to constantly convince potential customers and/or business partners that your product is better than the others.
Choosing a company with a weak compensation plan is the second thing that can lead to MLM failure. Many people wrongly think that all multi-level marketing compensation plans are the same. This is far from true! For the most part, each company has it’s own compensation plan. You need to make sure that you pick a company with a strong comp plan. A strong comp plan includes many things. Having the ability to earn up-front fast-start income and the ability to earn strong residual income are very important to ensure success.
Choosing the wrong team to join is the third way to increase your chances of failing in the multi-level marketing industry. So many people join a company because a friend or family member is a prat of the company. It is fine to join under a family member in a multi-level marketing business if the friend or family member is a real go-getter! But if the family member is not taking the business seriously you might want to reconsider ad start researching for a team that is on fire!
The 4th and final thing that can quickly lead to multi-level marketing failure is running out of leads. Most people starting in this business stop generating leads after they have talked to their friends and family members. These are the wrong leads and this activity can greatly increase your chance of failure! In order to succeed you need to use a lead generation technique that attracts people who are looking for an opportunity. If you generate leads correctly you will increase the likelihood of succeeding in the multi-level marketing industry!
Choosing the wrong product, a weak compensation plan, the wrong team and the wrong lead generation system are the top four reasons you will fail in the MLM and network marketing industry. Think of these items as puzzle pieces. If any of the pieces don’t fit then the puzzle will not work correctly.
